How does this improve Mike’s asthma? - Albuterol is used to relax the muscles that are in the bronchioles to relieve breathing. It relaxes smooth muscle by decreasing the calcium ions. Calcium ions are necessary to produce muscle contraction. It improves Mike’s asthma because it is relaxing his smooth muscle, which allows for a clear pathway for airflow to help him breath
A case is presented at the hospital of a 2-month-old child, diagnosed with down syndrome, and currently recovering from a case of bronchiolitis. The child, Elisa, is also diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, and she will undergo surgery to correct this defect once she has had time to recover from her bronchiolitis. Elisa is the sixth child or Maria and Hector. She has three brothers and two sisters who range in age from 10 to 25 years old.
On attached paper On attached paper The bronchioles use elastic fibers instead of rings of cartilage; therefore, they are more likely to collapse. During an asthmatic episode, the airways are inflamed and are sensitive. The muscles around the airway tightens and causes less air to pass to the lungs.
The last environmental factor that can cause asthma attacks is the weather. Extremely cold air, dry wind, and sudden weather changes can trigger asthma attacks. Eastern NC, including Duplin County, has been
Vaping is purportedly one of the best alternatives to cigarette smoking. A good number of former cigarette smokers have made the switch, flocking to shops like MistHub to try out various kits. But, not a lot of vapers have it easy on the first try. As soon as they start puffing on their new gizmos, they cough. It’s quite unfortunate that several people choose to leave vaping altogether just because of that incident.
Asthma has a significant impact on society, affecting over 6 million children under the age of 18 in the United States alone. Reasonable ways to control this disease are medications such as inhalers and spirometry to test the strength of your lungs. There is a myriad factor from environmental constraints, physical and the one built by humans is noted as a major factor affecting the development of asthma. Indoor air pollution is the most common form of air pollution, along with first-hand and second-hand smoking. Air pollution is often greater in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods with mold and cockroach infestations and access to medical care.
The findings from this research have led me to be certain of the importance of how by just merely looking into a subject from the origin of it can make us understand the true cause of the problem. Often people believe in one thing because it was told to them as a child like “ you are just like your parents who also have asthma.” However, after examining the different triggers of asthma it is with more certainty that I believe the borough of the Bronx has to advocate for its community and the area in they live in. Without change the Bronx’s pollution will continue to affect the people and the hospitalizations will continue to be the highest in all the boroughs.
For a patient with asthma, it is important for the dental hygienist to recognize that stress itself can induce an asthma attack as well as aerosols containing particles and the use of high-speed equipment. These triggers can be avoided by keeping the area clean and well ventilated. Shorter appointments at a certain time of day may also be required for a high anxiety patient with asthma. The number one recommendation regarding oral care would be to brush and floss daily.
Today is “Moonday” Teen Wolf fans and sadly that means your favorite werewolf show is coming to an end, for now. Aside from the scrumptious eye candy, Teen Wolf’s suspenseful storylines and beloved characters will be missed during the break. Tonight’s episode, entitled Status Asthmaticus, is the tenth episode from the order of 20 to be included in season five. The definition of status asthmaticus is “an acute, severe asthma attack that doesn't respond to usual use of inhaled bronchodilators and is associated with symptoms of potential respiratory failure.” Which is definitely related to Scott’s re-emerged asthma problems.

Kaitlyn Finney Respiratory therapy 150 RESPIRATORY DISTRESS AND IT 'S AFFECT ON INFANTS Respiratory distress of the newborn is a very fatal but curable disease. It is a vicious series of events that all lead to severe impairment of the respiratory function. Surfactant replacement and mechanical ventilation are both very helpful therapies for infants with Respiratory distress syndrome however the best method is the prevention of prematurity. The purpose of this paper is to enlighten the reader about this devastating disease and the successful therapies we respiratory therapists use to reverse and care
Pneumonia and asthma are two kinds of diseases that affect the airways in the lungs. Although both of them are different, they have some common denominators in the cause, symptoms, and the possibility of treating the inflammation at home. Both pneumonia and asthma make the air sacs in the lungs become tighten or blocked by an inflammation. For example, a person can obtain pneumonia or make asthma become worse after getting any upper respiratory infection such as flu or cold. Some symptoms of pneumonia and asthma are similar to each other such as chest pain, coughing, wheezing, and difficulty in breathing.
During the depression, there was not just one particular reason for the depression, yet there were several events that took place and led to the cause of this economic crisis known as the Great Depression. The stock market crashing, banks closed, the federal government reduced taxes, but the most important factor that affected the rise in stock was credit. When the banks cut back on lending things began to go downhill from there, areas began to see severe depression. The industrial areas also, they were beginning to slow down, so much of the boom was caused by the buying of goods, and the economy had come to a halt. Last, the reason was problems in Europe.
The use of language and identity are conceived as two different concepts that fall under the common roof of socio-culture. Much like the older days, our language is based on and shaped by our historical background and socio-political contexts. Until this day, the way we speak is quite similar to the way our ancestors spoke, for the simple reason that is we initiate from the same natal country or share the same culture. These findings pushed scientists to conduct further research in order to understand the real connection between language, identity and culture, which we will be investigating in the following blog. Language and Social Identity
