There is high controversy over whether or not it was acceptable for the United States to use the atomic bomb, in my opinion I feel as though it was our right to use it, but not in this situation. Many people would agree or disagree with this statement, and yet some would still have other opinions. There is no right or wrong opinion, but some have better intentions than others. Was it acceptable for the United States to use the atomic bomb? I believe that it was, but maybe the world just wasn’t ready for something that held that much power. Many people are for it, while many people are against it. Personally, I can see the reasoning from both sides. Some people say that it was unacceptable that we used the atomic bomb, because although the Japanese attacked us first, they feel it was unjust to the Japanese to hit them back in such an intense way. People who see it negatively mostly say their reasoning is that the two atomic bombs hit and killed many innocent women, children, and families. America is the land of the free, and the home of the brave and when a country attacks us trying to take away those rights it is not our right, but our duty as Americans to protect our country and preserve the great land we have made for us here.
