I could guarantee that you would find some type of Barbie girl material in each of their possession. I believe that Mattel experienced a self-inflecting wound. Barbie was the powerhouse of dolls and there was no need to change up the system because it wasn’t broken completely. Yet these gaps that were left by Mattel gave room from the creations of Bratz, Monster High, and all other brands of dolls who step outside of the box. Barbie was left behind as her fan base grew in age and personal interest, even though Mattel knew this they still did not react. By time Mattel tried to catch back up by introducing its Diva Starz collection they were still behind the power curve so the doll’s wardrobe was still not matching the latest fashion trends.
