As I am sitting in Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville Kentucky waiting on Angie Long, a registered nurse there, I see her handling a patient. From what I can see, she is talking to the lady and being very kind. She is helping her with her needs and the woman seems to be upset, she is crying and Angie is trying her best to calm her down and make her feel better. Angie is the only one I can see giving this woman attention and trying to make her situation better. I keep hearing Angie tell the lady that it’ll be okay and for her not to worry. That’s just the kind of person she is. Always helping and making people happy. I could tell that the woman felt relieved after talking to Angie. Many people out there are aspiring to become a nurse. To be a nurse you have to have quite a bit of schooling. It is a very competitive field to go into, and it is hard to get into medical school. A lot of people find it very challenging. When people choose a career in nursing it opens up many opportunities for them, with education, research and specialties. In this field you may encounter situations that won’t be good, but you have to emotionally stable when these situations happen.
