Being a music producer may seem like an impossible career to make it in the business and you need a lot of luck and talent but, all it takes is hard work and passion to be successful. A music producer will oversee and manage the sound recording of bands or musical artists in a recording studio. The producer has many roles in helping the artist create their music by picking out unique sounds, co-writing songs, or even coach the singers on their performance. The music industry requires a lot of experience and connections to get involved and to become successful in. Becoming a successful music producer is harder work than an average day job.

Any form of higher education is valuable but, most recording studios will accept at least a bachelor's degree to start working (Music Producer: Job Duties, Career Outlook, and Education Prerequisites). Since you are able to run your own business or be part of someone's already created music production industry the level of education required will vary depending on your employer or if you are your own employer. The top colleges with music production and music related majors include Berklee College of Music, New York University, University of Michigan school of music, and Indiana school of music. (Music School Central). “The necessary skills to become successful in the music making industry will include the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, have effective oral and written communication skills, possess knowledge of the music creation and acquisition business, including music copyright and licensing, have great attention to detail, creative writing and storytelling ability, strong research and problem solving abilities and audio and image editing experience” (Job Hero). I believe I obtain most of these skills and will fully learn all of them once I graduate and start to learn more about the career and gain hands
