Career
The career I chose was a welder. When I went to the tech center. There were a lot of interesting things there but welding struck out to me the most. Here are some reasons why I would like to become a welder.
One of the many reasons why I chose this career is because of some of the knowledge I would like to have. To know how things work. Especially in different ways . There is a book called, or titled “welding technician.” This book states, “Represents the core knowledge that welding students are expected to learn.” That was interesting to me. The education needed for a job like welding is a high school diploma. Which I got about two years to go. While I am still in school I would like to take a class on welding. …show more content…

From one of my research things. The website is called byf.org, “6 reasons why you should become a welder.” Here are some things I like about it. “ Interesting hands-on work,
Diversity keeps work life interesting and hands-on training allows you to learn the craft through experience.” It will be something to do with my hands. I don’t want

to sit in an office all day. I rather be working with my hands and actually making something useful. Another one from that website is, “ A career for women.”
There was a part that just made me giggle. It was, “Men have a tendency to follow a flame; women follow the pattern.” That just reminds me that this is a job not just for men but for women too. That they can be trained the same way and do just as well.
I am now going on to my goals toward this career path of a welder. I will start with short term goals. One of my goals for now is to stay focused on school for now. Getting good grades and stuff like that. That is all I got for short term goals. My long term goals, which I know will change in time. Once I graduate high school, if I do go
