Introduction

Throughout the class I was able to learn and comprehend the bible in a new way. Throughout my life I hear about God, Jesus, the bible and notable people from the bible. However, I never knew the history or the full story about many of these things.

God
God is the supreme being, he is the creator of the universe. God is a figure many people of faith look up to and pray to. “And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth” (Exodus 34:6).

Since God has ownership it is in his right to transfer ownership of the land. Subsequently, God did give the land to Abraham including his some of his descendants. The reason God choose Abraham was based on covenant. The land was also given to Isaac but not Abraham’s other sons. Then, the land was given to Isaac’s son Jacob and his descendants, including Israel. Next God told Israel to conquer the land he had given. The return of the Jewish people to the Nation of Israel will be the sign of restoration.

The New Testament Setting

The New Testament is the second part of the Christian Bible. The New Testament is said to be written after the resurrection of Jesus. The New Testament features four different gospels of the life, teaching, death and resurrection of Jesus. Each gospel gives a different perspective on Jesus. The New Testament also includes the Christian doctrine, instructions and also includes conflict/resolution guidelines.

The Character of Humanity

Adam and Eve Adam and Eve are symbol of mankind as they are the start of mankind. They show humans are not perfect and because they disobeyed God and suffered the
