Many goals of mine manifest in education. Providing myself opportunities to
While I have always performed well in math, I really enjoyed the science classes that I took, especially AP Biology and Honors Biology. From a young age, I have always held a special interest in the complexities of the human anatomy and the functions of each part of the body. What I learned in Honors and AP Biology gave me a greater respect for the intricacies of living organisms and inspired me to further improve my understanding of the human body . In pursuit of my goal, I focused on medicine and related subjects in my academics. I studied biology extensively as a part of my school’s Academic Decathlon team and AP Biology classes, paying extra attention to subjects related to medicine such as anatomy and physiology.
I am interested in furthering my education because of my deep fascination in biology and how it affects our future. Ever since the first science class I took in 7th grade I knew that the topic would be incorporated in my post-secondary education in some fashion. Having the ability to understand the inner workings of nature and the relationships between molecules, organisms, and the environment have always interested me. I am a senior who is at the top of my class in AP Biology as of now, and the dream of being involved with the subject is beginning to come true. I have been accepted to a university who is #2 in the nation for my major--zoology--and I also have some experience in this field already from a handful of anatomical dissections, macroinvertebrate

With our company having a substantial stake in the current and future operations of the energy industry, it is absolutely
The birth of my son has to be the major event that really changed my perspective on life after undergrad. Despite everything that I’ve endured, I have proven myself to be goal-oriented, a team builder, and a proven leader. For the past three years, I’ve studied biology in the woods building at Norfolk State. Courses such as zoology, botany, genetics, embryology, and others have aided in my increased interest in science. During my tenure, I’ve conducted a few research projects.
I aim to achieve this goal with the help of your institution by working hard, continually advancing my education, and using evidence-based findings to guide my
in Biochemistry. By seeking out a Ph.D., I plan to work towards employment involving research in the various fields of human health that also combine my academic interest in Biochemistry with my passion for plants. This presents me with two distinct opportunities. Not only could I work directly in the health field by working in pharmaceutical research and development, forty percent of which stems from compounds originally derived from plants, but also indirectly in the field of nutrition through the creation of agricultural practices and the development of genetically modified crops. Altogether, by preparing for professional paths that interest me both academically and branch into my avocational interests, I have developed an educational track that will ultimately transition into a life-long research career.
It is with great interest that I submit to you my essay for an opportunity in the Center for STEM and Education Research program at Chicago State University. I attended Lebanon High School from 2012 to 2016. Throughout high school, I maintained a 3.9 GPA and filled my schedule with core classes along with dual credit, AP, and elective courses. I was accepted into Chicago State University the spring of 2016 and began my studies in August of 2016. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my first year of undergraduate studies.
While in Middle School, my focus to pursue high grades drove me to join the AVID program to prepare me in my classes and my future towards college. By joining this class I learned to value the importance of organizational and effective studying skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond. With the help of my AVID teacher, I applied to STEM during 8th grade. Knowing that STEM courses were rigorous, I knew I wanted to surpass the next step and challenge my journey towards high school. During high school, STEM had taken my brain apart to think more critically and creatively.
I acquired a total of 28 college credits while in high school, with most of them being more challenging classes such as physics and calculus. Taking these classes will help me in the future by not only getting the classes done, but they have also given me a taste of what college is like. My whole life I have been fascinated by nature, especially living things. This fascination has made me ponder what I would like to do with my life, and I have come to the conclusion that there are many occupations that fall under the field of biology that I would enjoy. Whether I were to become a zoologist or go on and become a doctor, college will help me decide on exactly what I want to
I am a very enthusiastic person and it is an academic goal to continue learning to show my enthusiasm at the right time and answer questions at the right time. I have an academic goal to continue to have good listening in class. Math is my favorite class and I have an academic goal to keep doing better and better in math. To continue to improve my grades from progressing to independent is a goal of mine.
Experiences on the farm, classes attended, and self- taught curriculum are a few reasons that contribute to me wanting to gain a degree in biology and or dual major in chemistry at IUS. This degree will benefit me as I plan to attain a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and open my own practice providing veterinarian services and education to promote healthier animals and their longevity. My experience and dedication in studying animal pedigrees, planned breeding, showing and caring for a variety of animals are a few examples of the hard work and long hours I put forth into something I partake
I am writing to apply for the Biotechnology Professor position at Georgian College. I am excited about this opportunity because I like teaching and help students develop their professional ability. I am now a sessional lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Thompson Rivers University. I am teaching Principles of Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry Lab. I have extensive teaching experience across different institutions and cultures.
My educational goal is to pursue my passion of woodworking. From a very young age I dreamt of owning my own business. I 've always dreamt of going to college, and majoring in mathematics and business to be one step closer to my goal. I knew from a very young age that my dreams of going to college would be slim, because my mother, as a single parent worked to keep my brother and I content. It was difficult for her because, she was involved in an accident, that the doctors said she would never walk again.
I strive to live up to continuing my dreams to obtain a Bachelor Degree of Science in
