Boy Scout Swot Analysis

Strength One strength of mine is leadership. I am a Patrol Leader in Boy Scout Troop 50, which means that I work with younger scouts to help them with their accomplishments and encourage them to succeed in scouting. One way I help them to succeed is by teaching them scouting skills and steps needed to complete Merit Badges and other procedures. Another way that I show my strength in leadership is by working on my goals and achievements, because I can lead by example for younger scouts. An academic strength I have is in the subject of Spanish. I received excellent grades, and I speak and enunciate words properly, and I understand the differences in conjugations and grammar. I have caught on quickly and I enjoy speaking the Spanish language.

I did try out for the Pleasant Grove Freshman baseball team, but I was cut on the 3rd day of cuts. Even though I was cut, I think that it built character, maturity and made me not get disappointed. I still want to practice and try my best in anything I do. Right now I am playing for the Elk Grove Babe Ruth recreational baseball league in my freetime. I am also the assistant captain on my baseball team, so I have to lead the team in stretches, warm ups and drills. By playing baseball, it now only keeps me physically in shape, but it also develop teamwork and responsibility. In the classroom, I have grown in my Biology class, and I have taken in the knowledge of the subject and have received satisfying grades on my tests. I think that the reason why I get good grades is, because I study and review my notes to prepare and understand the subjects better. I also, have grown a great deal in my Boy Scout experiences. In Boy Scouts, we are required to present the flag ceremony to all the parents and scouts. As the patrol leader, I have to announce the commands to the color guard and lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Over this year I have had to do this many times and have developed more confidence in public speaking and presentations.
