The Outsiders is a book based on a gang called the Greasers, it takes place in Oklahoma during the year of 1966. All throughout this book, the Greasers have different conflicts with the Socs, their rival gang. The story revolves around Ponyboy, the narrator and also the youngest of the group. He and his brothers all held lots of hope that he would finish school and go on to do something better with his life instead of ending up like them. Ponyboy was very smart and always found a way to show his creativity. I have good grades and high standards, hopes, and dreams for myself. If I compare our personalities, we actually are quite similar. Ponyboy was funny, smart, and nice and he had lots of worries, accomplishments, things he was proud of, wanted to do, and just wanted to be loved. I relate to almost all of those things and to more of his character traits
