There is no doubt that nursing is an ideal job with a lot of challenges and absolutely rewarding experiences. Nevertheless, there is a huge shortage of nurses, and more and more nurses tend to leave their position (Kidd & Finlayson 2010). This is because, it is also well known and widely recognised, in their daily work nurses meet psychological and emotional demands that are incredible to the non-health related workers and professionals (New South Wales Nurses’ Association 2006). Besides, they further pointed out that nurses are especially vulnerable, and at higher risks of bullying. As work conditions are differ from hospitals, unit and area (Rodwell and Demir 2012), it is not easy to evaluate the bullying from patients and relatives. Thus, the following discuss will place emphasis on the bullying occurs between colleagues. Granstra (2015) stated that this kind of bullying is known as horizontal bullying and it has been considers as a serious problem in nursing profession.
