My personal vision is to gain a deeper understanding of ethical business practices and to be an active member of the Haskayne School of Business (HSB) through volunteering and taking part in Haskayne-specific events. My most valuable strengths are cooperating with others, goal setting, dedication to projects, seeking academic help and flexibility. In the past, I have not had problems with my team members and enjoy collaborating with others. Furthermore, I set realistic goals for myself to accomplish. For example, I will create a study plan before a test to break down the content. I have also been able to accomplish my goals due to my dedication, which allows me to focus on a project and complete it to the best of my ability. However, I seek help when necessary from my peers, teachers and university services such as the Writing Support. Lastly, I am a flexible person who does not easily get anxious over last-minute hurdles. Instead, I tend to focus on changes I need to make to overcome obstacles. …show more content…

Public speaking is an important skill to possess, from presenting in classrooms to pitching to potential investors. Similarly, I believe leadership skills would improve my ability to create networks for the future. As well, time management and procrastination keep me from reaching my full potential. By spending an unnecessarily significant amount of time on academics, I reduce the time I can volunteer and attend HSB events. I would like to complete my degree while balancing extracurricular activities in order to get the most out of my time at Haskayne and fulfill my vision. Lastly, improving my ability to access databases and extract relevant information for my projects is a skill that will help me during my time at HSB and beyond. Being able to cite research properly will prevent occurrences of plagiarism, which could greatly harm my academic
