The big yellow bus pulled in front of Kevin’s school. The whole 6th grade had to go to camp for one night. Kevin hated the outdoors. Also, his friend Kade said camps were terrible because the food was disgusting and the activities were boring. “EVERYONE, GET ON THE BUS!” screamed their teacher, Mr. Johnson. Everyone got on the bus and the engine roared and took off. After a one hour and 30 minute bus ride, they finally arrived at camp. However, to Kevin, that bus ride felt like an eternity just sitting there, thinking about the horrible time he might have. “Hi kids, welcome to Camp Nightside,” said the camp director Mr. Phil. “Hi,” everyone weakly replied. “Let’s eat some lunch!” he yelled. Kevin got what he wanted, maybe a little too much. He got 12 pieces of orange chicken, two tacos, and four subs. Kevin scarfed it all down in about 20 minutes and gained about 30 pounds. A few fights broke out because some of the kids took too much food, leaving none for others. So everyone had to watch out for flying forks, flying knives, and flying chairs. After Kevin thought “heaven” ended, it didn’t. The workers of the camp brought out Oreo cake and white sprinkled long john donuts and set them on a table near the build your own taco and sub stands. They should get cheaper things in case they get damaged,” Mr. Johnson muttered to himself. “We are done!” yelled all of the kids after putting their bags in the cabin. “Okay,” replied Mr. Johnson. “Let’s eat an early dinner.” All Kevin could think about for dinner was steak and mashed potatoes, but when they walked into the dining hall again, a foul stench slammed against the kids. When they sat down to eat, they found out it was the chicken that smelled bad, which was crazy. No meal at Camp Nightside should be bad. “Well, I will dish up first,” said Kevin as he walked over by the food. He grabbed two pieces of soggy breaded chicken that were half cooked. Everyone else followed Kevin to dish up. Kevin took his chicken and went back to his seat. He took a bite and almost threw up. “This chicken tastes raw and the breading tastes even worse,” Kevin complained. A bunch of the other kids didn’t eat their chicken or took only one bite of their chicken and then stopped. “We are sorry to announce that our camp is running out of money. Therefore your meals will not be as good,” said Mr.
