There are many core principles encompassed by the mission and values of Pacific University's Physician Assistant Studies program that I know will make Pacific University a great match for me. Ensuring high quality care for patients, valuing diversity, and lifelong learning of evidence based medicine are concepts that should be at the core of healthcare. Also important to me is the need to help underserved populations. Currently working as a medical assistant at a primary care physicians office in Hilo, Hawaii I work with many individuals from underserved communities of the island and I see the need for greater healthcare access in these areas, and I am now committed to continuing to help the underserved as I further my career.
Here’s what I would get out of attending DesignCamp2015 I think that as a student of design at UTS, the Design Camp would be a great opportunity to engage with design thinking in a realistic and actionable way, and to learn to apply the skills I learn through design to make real change. Working on briefs with real companies who have stakes in projects outcomes would also present, for me, an opportunity to witness and participate in the roles a designer can play in areas outside those obvious career options offered by my core degree. For me, one of the many things the BCII offers me is a wider array of skills, which makes the possibilities for what I can do with my degree so much broader. From working in this collaborative, real work space I feel as though I could get a great and valuable understanding of the
Having so many options for creating with Legos, I used my creativity to build one design. One of my teachers I have made it clear that in my future job, I should enjoy and be do my job with a smile on my face. My one goal in life is to major in Digital Arts and Cloud Technology for the rest of my life and stick with it, and that would definitely be accomplished if I went to Full Sail University. Digital Arts and Cloud Technology are two majors that FSU is highly known for, and that is why FSU would fit my needs for a college perfectly. Full Sail University has many opportunities for students, with their many Scholarships options.
Throughout the course of the last few months, I’ve been thinking about continuing my education. I’ve looked at different schools, but none of them seemed like the perfect fit. One day I came across a commercial for the American Women’s College, and I decided to look it up. What I found, was an institution built, on a foundation of educating and empowering women. Women, just like me.
All of the Pennsylvania job advertisements require a Master’s of Library Science, which I will qualify for in about two years. Nevertheless, my undergrad was completed at Waynesburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Studies of Culture in May of 2014. While attending Waynesburg University, I was first introduced to the option of creating a library career. I began my career similar to most undergrad students by applying for the work-study program in the university’s library.
At NYU, I hope to achieve this goal. I aspire to give structure to my life by participating in rigorous courses that will enable me to pursue a career in treating mental illnesses. In the College of Arts and Sciences, I intend to acquire skills in communication, analytical thinking and understanding human social behavior, cultivating my passion for understanding what makes the human brain so fascinating. Situated in one of the largest cultural hubs of the world, NYU would allow me to, like the squiggle, explore my interests. I would be able to visit museums such as the Whitney or take part in clubs such the Slam Poetry Club and Model UN or even partake in the annual Strawberry Festival.
How could I channel my extreme energy and enthusiasm into a specific course of study in order to best accomplish my goals? And the same hot-topic question on the minds of nearly all high school upperclassmen: Which college did I want to attend? As the letters and emails flooded in from colleges and universities all across the United States, it seemed like an overwhelming task to choose just one. Narrowing my interest down to chemical engineering still left countless potential paths of study, and countless problems to be solved. I researched the applications of chemical engineering: medicine, electronics, food processing, and countless more.
I have always retained a keen passion in learning about medicine and dreamed about becoming a pediatrician. As I learned more about NYU, I fell more in love with the university, aspiring to one day step into the halls of the school and make my mark. I believe it was the perfect place for me to start my pre-medical studies into one day becoming a doctor. When I first ventured in and around NYU in New York City, my eyes sparkled at the marvel of the campus. It is not one's typical campus.
As a child, I was never aware of my family’s financial struggles. My parents divorced when I was 12 and money became the central issue in my life. I found myself worrying about mortgages, health bills, and grocery money at a very young age. As I continued to grow, I vowed to myself that I would not struggle financially the way my parents had to. I want to escape the socioeconomic status I was born into, which is why I am pursuing a post-secondary education.
As I start my time at CCU to pursue my Bachelor’s degree online I have an opportunity to take what I have learned from my experience while earning my Associate’s degree at IBMC College. It will be my goal to be more engaged and will have higher goals for my grades and earning awards through the school. For me it has always been easy to show up at the right place at the right time and stay for the required amount of time. This can lead to a mindless routine and complacency.
The reason I have chosen Global Business & Digital Arts at Waterloo is that I have a passion for design and business. I want to expand my knowledge of design software and learn how to apply this in a full-time business setting. What I find unique is that Waterloo offers a campus that is solely focussed on design and digital communications. This program
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application for the doctoral program at Florida Atlantic University. My interest in education began at a young age out of necessity. My upbringing was humble, and I was fortunate to have a healthy environment conducive to my education. However, that was the extent of my parents’ support.
The day a mother gives birth is one of the happiest days of her life. The happiness of the new baby fills the room and brightens the family’s day. Some women do not get this experience, because they decide to have an abortion instead. Abortion is where a mother kills the fetus inside of her womb. Abortion should be forbidden because it can be dangerous and there are other ways that someone could go about having that baby, like adoption.
The heart of New York City is New York University. By joining the network of NYU, I will be able to study at an institution that has a long tradition of academic excellence among private universities in the United States. Additionally, I will be able to be part of an internationally recognized learning network with locations all across the globe. It would be a pleasure to study at a globally recognized university. A friend of mine who is a recent graduate from NYU College of Nursing has praised the program and conveyed to me a very positive experience.
The functional process of design appeals to me because it can be used to solve difficult problems within a dynamic society. PennDesign believes the beauty within a work of design is not only its final polished form, but also its final outcome and impact. Using my talents and skills of design to promote social change would be meaningful as it is reflects my personal goals. For the last 4 years, my education has been strongly community-based as my high school is a progressive Quaker school. I have been taught to promote positive change through all of my work, and I feel as though the rich cultural environment Penn offers would further help develop these ideas and allow me to create social
