The Case Against Marijuana Gonzales v. Raich In Gonzales v. Raich the legal issue facing the court is whether Congress has the power, through Article I Section 8 of the Constitution, to “prohibit the local cultivation and use of marijuana in compliance with California law.” The 1996 Proposition 215, now codified as the Compassionate Use Act of 1996, was created to ensure ill residents of California had access to medicinal marijuana. The 1996 Act is relevant to this 2005 case because it is important to the eventual dispute before the court.
The Goss vs. Lopez case was argued to the Supreme Court in October, 6, 1974. Nine students, including Dwight Lopez were suspended for misconduct and the destruction of school property. The students reportedly obstructed the learning environment of other students. The students felt that the suspension against them was unconstitutional. Among the ten students, Dwight Lopez argued that the suspension was an act of violation of the fourteenth amendment.

The Columbus Ohio Public School System (CPSS) was sued by students. Nine students claimed that they were suspended without being given a hearing before their suspension, or even after their suspensions were over.

Formally known as Mujeres Unidas Contra el SIDA, our organization was founded on World AIDS Day, December 1, 1994, by former Executive Director, Yolanda Rodriguez-Escobar. Her vision was to fill the gaps in services for Latinas living with or directly impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Upon me beginning to build a strong mentor rapport with Karla Y. Velazquez, she has shown great interest in being a leader at Dynamy Youth Academy. She has demonstrated this by constantly when aiming to assist her peers resolve their obstacles or achieve their goals whether be it personally or academically. Should an opportunity appear for her to improve upon her leadership skills, Karla does needs a little coaching or explaining on how this can improve her already impressive skill set. Upon doing so Karla will aggressively seize the opportunity for self improvement. As far as coming to a sound decision despite not having the most updated or correct information for a given situation.
Northwestern is comprised of a world-class faculty, and this extends to the music department at the Bienen School of Music. Because I want to major in horn performance, I would like to work with a teacher who is willing to work with me so I can become a performer prepared for real world jobs. Bienen School teachers have the reputation of working closely with students through studio classes and small ensemble classes. For me, I prefer this close relationship between the student and the teacher, because the teacher will be my coach for the next four years. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s close relationship with the Bienen School also will aid in my journey to become a better musician.

A big, yellow Calhoun County School bus pulled up at the back of Ashville High School, and a swarm of students in black bibbers and band shoes began to file off. They scrambled around searching for the trailer filled with all of their instruments, and once they retrieved their instruments, the parking lot came alive with music and a slur of conversations. Therefore, this program would focus on ways to get all kinds of instruments from trumpets to contrabass clarinets in the hands of kids. This project would be dedicated to students whose schools might not have the funds to provide early music development and a decent music program. One of the goals for the project will be engaging the students as much as possible in order for them to enjoy what they are doing.

While the knowledge Don Juan shares is about his specific religion, the teachings can be applied to many aspects of my life. There are many teachings in the book that can be related to life in general. However, the four natural enemies are what I believe to be the most applicable when comparing what Don Juan teaches to my life.
