Texas Health Resource is a non-profit organization that is under none public ownership. The hospital in my local community is Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, which is one of many hospitals under the Texas Health Resource Systems. Texas Health Arlington Memorial residents in the 1950’s raised $250,000 for the start of building this hospital. Incidentally, there were only 75 beds originally when this hospital was built. For more than 65 years, Texas Health Arlington Memorial has always focused on the community, and how to implement new changes within the organization for the betterment of the community.
Eight years ago, Texas Health Arlington Memorial celebrated the grand opening of the Tom Vandergriff surgical tower. Furthermore, this facility cost $76 million and happens to be the largest development ever assembled at Texas Health Arlington Memorial. This new building is over “200,000 square feet with an additional 48 new beds and 16 state-of-the-art surgical suites for inpatient and day surgery”.
