Plot development relates to characters because the longer she stays in Nevermoor the closer she becomes with Jupiter and Hawthorne and jack and everyone else. Through character growth she also works on her flaws to connect with the other characters. These points are how Townsend shows the theme belonging. Townsend expertly uses characters to powerfully explore the theme of belonging through Morrigan's experience in the trials.
Legend, by Marie Lu, is a book about a Day, the most wanted criminal in the area and June, the greatest spy prodigy at just 15 years old. Throughout the book, these two face adversity and the struggle for the two are quite stress-bearing. When a major incident occurs, all the fingers point to Day for the cause of the incident. Day faces a tough uphill battle to claim innocence while June hunts him down. The two don’t even realize what they had gotten themselves into with a few key decisions that play a tremendous role in the following events each respectable being had made.
This quote is an example of imagery, it paints a good picture of what’s going in the book. It painted a very vivid image of what Laila was experiencing while she was quite delusional. Glass and pebbles flying after she had hit the ground, and then a part of her dad’s clothing, all bloody. This is important to the text because it totally changed Laila’s life and future.
