This is really high rank about child poverty in Alabama state that no one can explain why this problem still growing. These children are so innocent, they need an education, and a better life.
They are many causes of childhood poverty, but the main cause of child poverty is pre-marital pregnancy. Especially a young couple who are under age eighteen and got pregnant. They are still young and have no job, so they are cannot support their life, and when a baby born, they become a poverty families that is causing a child poverty. Another cause is parents with lower levels of education, so they do not have much choice of a job where they can work and earn some money to feed a family and all the household expenses. Education is always giving people a good opportunity to have a good life and future. When people have higher education, they will have more choice to choose what they want to do, and how to manage their life. I think another good way to reduce child poverty in our country is to support everybody to get into the school, so they can learn and plan about the future. Premarital pregnancy is a big problem for the young generation who still in school or college. According to experts, “Teenage mothers are less likely to finish high school and are more likely to live in poverty, depend on public assistance, and be in poor health than slightly older mothers. Their children are more likely to suffer health and cognitive disadvantages, come in contact with the child welfare and correctional systems, live in poverty, drop out of high school and become teen parents themselves” (Heller).
