Change In Temperature And Ph Of Protease

892 Words4 Pages

An investigation was performed where protease was tested to see the change in temperature and pH of protease. Protease speeds up the chemical reaction in an enzyme without changing them. It was hypothesised that if the temperature was at a high temperature the denaturing would happen much quicker than at a lower temperature. This experiment was done using pH 2, pH 4, Ph7, Protease, Distilled water, peptide, and albumin. What we found out in this experiment was pH 2 had the best reaction even at a colder temperature it still performed well than the others. The improvement that could have been made during this experiment are recording all the data this part has really affected our PH 7 results. Following the safety procedures and not being away so often. The aim of this experiment is to investigate the protease activity in enzyme, how the temperature and proteins work in this enzyme. …show more content…

Protease is an enzyme that breaks down proteins into amino acids. The Protease reaction it’s much better then lipase and amylase. Amylase is the digestive enzyme that breaks down food into carbohydrate molecules. Lipase breaks down dietary fat into smaller molecules call fatty acids. Protease, amylase, lipase are the three main enzyme your body uses to digest food. This term we have to be finding out what of the three main enzyme reaction react the best. Enzymes work in the body by allowing certain chemical reactions to take place quicker than the reaction occurring on its own. Enzymes function as catalyst that means they speed up the rate of the metabolism and in the living organism. The substrate for a catalase is to speed up the rate of a chemical
