Kind, smart, and reasonable, are all words that describe Atticus, but there are two traits that stand out the most. From the first moment we meet him to the end of the book, Atticus is as fair and honest as any man could be. Not only that, but he also stays calm and reasonable while doing it. He knows he can’t act like the Ewells or the Cunninghams, as he has to keep up with a certain standard For instance; we’ve seen Atticus read people while keeping a level head while dealing with nearly any situation. One of the first actions that we see Atticus carry out that has real value, is dealing with Scout when she wanted to quit school.
