Everyone has character traits that describe who they are, it is not uncommon for people to share some. A character trait Odysseus, from the epic poem The Odyssey, and I share is optimism. I have been optimistic through the hardest of times and the easiest of times, just like Odysseus. I was optimistic in getting a dog because my mom said we could not get a dog until she stopped working. When my mom had stopped working, she said I had the maturity to take care of a dog
It was odd for me having to go look for hand me down uniforms and school supplies. People looked at us differently even though we looked just like them. They had an expression of guilt almost for absolutely no reason. I, fortunately, had help from the school so that I would have all the correct supplies and uniforms. But when this happened I also lost things that I believed every child should have like a bedroom, bed, bathroom, and personal space.
Growing up Catholic, it has been engrained in me my whole life to be grateful for what I have, especially because there are always people who are
Personally, I value character and believe that it’s one of the most important traits a person can possess. I have been taught from a
I like to always show that spark of humor that was born inside of me to not only give me the out look of an unsophisticated lady with no laughter but to show that I can put a smile on many faces. A character trait I love to have that not everyone has is kindness. I believe that everyone should have a neutral affection towards each other, and I want to adore that information for others to see. When I made the school soccer team in sixth grade ( one out of four), I cried not tears of joy, but tears of kindnesss that my other friends didn’t make the team. THe kindness sprouted inside of
This is why I imagine I exhibit good citizenship. Out of all of these attributes, one sticks out to me the most. Character is, in simple words, your personality and/or how you act. I feel as though this is the most important trait out of the rest, simply because with a lack of character, none of the other characteristics really matter.
My character traits help me to gain the trust and respect of my peers as they believe me to be extremely creative and a dependable person. I have great problem-solving skills; I tend to think outside the box and I have
I have great responsibility skills, doing what I need to do when I need to do it. Whether that be a chore, or helping someone out when I owe it. I am fair, treating others fairly like they deserve. Caring is a very important trait I have, as I make sure to be there for people when others are
When comes to my character I am a type of student who works on both academic and character excellence. I always try to improve my personality and make sure to represent myself, my family, and my school in a good manner. I always treat people like how I want to be treated and even if they are not nice to me I still treat them nice because this is how my parents raise me to be. I make sure that integrity, respect, and kindness are big aspects of my character because I believe that is what makes a good character. In school, I work hard in everything I do and make sure to get good grades because I think this is the way I can make a change in society.
A couple of characteristics that I am most proud of, is my unwavering self motivation and determination in times of adversities. These characteristics will help me excel through the more rigorous class
After the obstacles he has overcame Walt Disney once said “All the adversity I’ve had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me… You may not realize when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.” Everyone has a time in there life where they need to get passed something that is in there way. When this time or times come everyone would find a way to get through it, whether it is asking for help or doing it on their own. When someone says the word adversity one would say you have to be hard working, determined, and strong would pop into their mind.
It was the big day. The last time our whole basketball team would play for the Gold Crown League. The last day our team would be an actual team. My whole basketball team had been working our hardest to improve 4 years to make it into the final championship round in Gold Crown basketball. This final year we were determined to do anything in our power to make it to the final championship round.
Dry ice is a frozen carbon dioxide,a normal part of our earth’s atmosphere. Dry ice is a solid but turns into a gas which the term for this would be called sublimation. Sublimation occurs when the surface particles of a solid gains enough energy that they form a gas. Using dry ice is a way to keep the temperature low when a refrigerator is not available. People also use dry ice for projects and experiments.
Through her life story, it is evident that Oprah Winfrey is a successful leader who has been able to rise from one of the severest challenges anyone could face starting from her childhood through her establishment of OWN. Some of Oprah's key strengths would be her tenacity, ambition, and optimism, which all played a role in her network's success. One of Oprah's prominent leadership style elements would be her heavy reliance on compassion and emotions. Oprah’s morality has also led her to reject many opportunities where she would have further succeeded financially. That being said, it is evident from what we learned in class about leadership styles that Oprah Winfrey relies heavily on agreeableness as her method of leadership.
