It didn't take long for Ford and Dodge to come right back though. Ford came out with a flat head V8 in 1932 and Dodge in 1933. The new 6 cylinder in the Chevys upgraded there one-ton pickups and now they were called 1-1/2 ton. These engines were also put in the half ton trucks and allowed higher speeds for deliverymen and salesman to make more stops in one day. Chevrolet kept getting better and better and by 1937 they had bigger and better trucks than anyone.

The Model A line got its first sale on “December 2nd, 1927”, replacing Ford’s previous extremely popular “Model T” (Ford Model T -Wikipedia). This release created one of the most classic and sought-after collector vehicles of present times, the 1929 Ford Pickup. What can be better than searching for a new car? Growing up as a kid you start to learn what some of your favorite things are. I learned very fast that one of my favorite cars was and still is a Mustang. For years, I dreamt of having my own Mustang. Now that i’ve gotten older and closer to getting my license, that dream is becoming more and more of a reality.
Ford became a first carmaker that installed a conveyor at its factory. This equipment made it the world’s first company that started mass car production. Chevrolet-490 was equipped with electric lights and starter; it was a rare decision even for more expensive models. Both companies worked on the improvement of the safety and other systems of their cars. But Ford demonstrated more conservative approach in some cases (at least, during Henry Ford’s ruling).
However, Volvo developed its own truck, named “Series 1”, which was fairly expensive. Series 1 was increased in weight, payload, and had a decent performance, which created an unexpected success in a short amount of time ("Back in the Roaring ‘20s”,1). At 1929, there were 3.5 million trucks in the newly builded roads of the United States. The trucks were beneficial to the United States because they gave rise to a new industry. Then in 1920, Henry Ford made the automobile accessible to the American people by inventing the Model-T and assembly line. Before Ford’s assembly line, the vehicle was of value for the rich where most models were complicated that needed to be accompanied by a chauffeur that knew how the automobile worked. As a result, Ford wanted to revolutionize the automobile to make it within economic reach to everyone.

Although Henry Ford began the Ford Motor Company in 1903, it was not until 1908 that his business began to grow and become successful. In 1908 Ford first released the Model T automobile at a price of $825.00. He was able to offer the vehicle at such a low price because in the process of producing the Model T he also developed and perfected the moving assembly line. This reduced the assembly time by over fifty percent, which in turn reduced the price of the automobile. The Ford Motor Company has continued to grow and after over a century of being in business it is now worth around $199 billion.
