This is another important differentiator to consider when we think about how we describe our feelings about either our own character or the character of someone else. If we have concerns about someone’s competence to accomplish an important task, it can be helpful to reflect on whether it is the individual’s capability to accomplish the task or their past results with accomplishing the task that gives us pause.
