I've always thought to myself, is childcare really that important? Do we as staff at a childcare facility really make that much of a difference in lives around our communities? Over the last year or so I’ve managed to prove to myself that childcare really is important and it benefits peoples everyday lives. Childcare is important because we all play a big role in children’s and their parents lives. To start off on some of the benefits of childcare, parents probably wouldn’t be able to work or keep a steady and safe environment for their families if it wasn't for us taking care of their children. They’d be working at home with their children with no source of income besides government assistance if they were to even qualify. Most parents drop off their children early in the morning and go straight to work,or if it is their day off they go run some much needed errands which is honestly really hard to do with kids! I honestly do believe that daycare helps get kids ready for school and even further in life. They have to be at daycare within a certain drop off time, picked up before our closing time and throughout the day they also have a schedule full of fun things like crafts, songs, reading, playtime, and playing outside so neither staff nor kids get bored. Every teacher in a daycare is someone that these kids look up to, we are with them everyday of the week for multiple hours at a time and we wouldnt change that for the world, we love our career path and being with these sweet humans all the time. These kids are watching us while trying to become their own person, we are these kids second homes where they are loved and feel
