With four Bronze Star Valor medals and two Silver Star Medals, Navy Seal Chris Kyle is regarded to be one of the all time deadliest snipers in U.S Military history. Chris served four deployments to Iraq and had over one hundred and sixty confirmed kills (Greenblatt). Soon after his first tour of iraq, the enemy placed a $80,00 bounty on his head, yet he was able to survive all four deployments without any major harm (Perry). After being honorably discharged from the military Kyle started to work with troubled veterans who were scarred from battle and its ghastly sights. He began to work with former Marine ,Eddie Ray Routh. Eddie was an especially troubled veteran with a serious mental and post traumatic stress disorder. Kyle was fully aware of Eddies troubles and evan when as far as to text a friend “This guy is straight nuts” referring to Eddie (Ellis). Yet Kyle continued to spend time helping Eddie Rauth, and on February 2, 2013 Eddie shot and killed kyle at a shooting range in Chalk Mountain, Texas. Chris Kyle's life and biography has clear connection with the life of Othello, a fictional character from Shakespeare's play “Othello”. Chris was a highly regarded war veteran and leader who exampled valor and vigilance in war. Othello was also a high esteemed military personnel as the general and commander of the Venetian armed forces. Both were good men, but both men possessed a fatal flaw which undoubtedly lead to their own downfall. For Othello is was his lack of self esteem. He allowed Lagos manipulation to falsely dictate his wife's loyalty, which led to him killing his beautiful bride then ultimately himself.
