Do you think that even though people want you to be someone else that you should change to what they want? That if society expected you to do as they say and be molded to fit into the opinions of other around you. Well that what’s Cimorene was justified in ignoring her social norms of her everyday life because she helped save a race of dragons from total destruction, she escaped an arranged marriage from a person she held little to no feeling for, and escaped a life in which she did not enjoy at all.

Cimorene had just escaped from the marriage she did not like and is now gone to a place where she is able to be who she want’s to be. Kazul said, and turned back to Cimorene. “You were saying? About cooking and so on.’ ‘Couldn’t I do that for one of you for a while?’ Cimorene said. The dragon smiled again, and Cimorene swallowed hard. ‘Possibly. Why would you want to do that?’ ‘Because then I wouldn’t have to go home and marry Therandil,’ Cimorene said. ‘Being a dragon’s princess is a perfectly respectable thing to do, so my parent’s couldn’t complain. And it would be much more interesting than embroidery and dancing lessons.’ This shows that Cimorene is much more at peace at being a dragon’s princess than being a princess in her own kingdom. Furthermore, this also tells us that she really doesn’t like being a princess in her own kingdom because of the things she had to such as embroidery and dancing lessons.
