Coaching Philosophy: What is Coaching? As a strength and conditioning coach, my philosophy is immensely driven by the belief that every athlete has the opportunity and potential for greatness. My role and position is to serve as an encourager, motivator, and facilitator in helping the athlete obtain success through a holistic approach to training. The key principles that define my coaching philosophy are as listed below. Athlete Focused: As strength coaches we are there for the athletes. Each athlete possesses their own strengths, weaknesses, goals, and future motives, which we are able to help guide them in the success of that. My key core values that I follow and expect to reciprocate are as follows: Integrity: Being honest and transparent from both sides; the coach and the athlete, help maintain a healthy and progressive relationship. Through program design, executing workouts, and day-to-day interactions, I believe integrity must be maintained. Respect: Every athlete deserves equal respect and treatment, no matter the sport or the title they possess. Passion: If there is no passion, then what is the purpose? Leading with a plan and passion is what unifies and excels a team to success. Creativity: Not every weight room or workout will be the same, which leads to having a creative mind for different workouts. Be able to be a flexible coach and think outside the box. Teamwork: Every lift is amplified when you are all working towards one goal together.
