Did you know that cocaine, also known as coke or crack, is a highly addictive drug? Overdosing on this dangerous drug can cause serious symptoms or even death. Using cocaine can be fatal and harm your body in many ways. “Large amounts of cocaine can lead to bizarre, unpredictable, and violent behavior,” (National Institute of Drug Abuse). This could lead to overdose. Cocaine can really hurt people in many ways, be safe and don’t do cocaine.
Some Facts You May Not have known about Cocaines
Some facts about cocaine are that in the U.S. cocaine is about $150 per pure gram. (factretriever.com). More than 400,000 babies are born addicted to cocaine every year in the United States. Ingesting both cocaine and alcohol causes more deaths than any drugs combined in the United States. Everyday, more than 2,500 americans try cocaine for the very first time. The most important part of any treatment plan is that you give up the drug right away. Anyone who is addicted to cocaine or other drugs go through a phase called withdrawal, when they first do this, Symptoms can include: depression, anxiety, fatigue or feeling extremely tired, Trouble concentrating on school or work, Increase of your appetite, Cravings for the drugs again, Nightmares, Chills, nerve pain, muscle aches.
Cocaine overdose is more difficult to treat and can be fatal. There are some physical signs to show that you overdose cocaine such as Increased sweating, body temperature, or heart rate, trouble breathing, chest pain, nausea or vomiting, and confusion, seizures, tremors. Cocaine overdose often leads to death. An ER doctor will test for those conditions and try to treat them first. He may also use medication to treat other complications you
