In the deep eastern peninsula of Florida, there is a little “hot spot” known as Cocoa Beach. Right across from there is a another popular spot named Cape Canaveral. There are gigantic palm trees that tower over you and the red spanish roofing on all of the condos. Your toes being tickled by the plastic like grass under you. The little ponds surrounded by cattails and white herrings that stand still as if they are statues of the day. The weeping willows hang over like the inflatable men that fly in the wind at car dealerships. The squirrels race up and down the trees like race car drivers in the Championships. Further down the classic Cali palm tree filled streets, hides a big blue manatee. It catches your eye so you take a right and walk down that road and you see a beautiful coral white conch shell mailbox! The curvaceous hibiscus bushes hit against the gate in the whistling wind of the summer breeze. Some flowers fall to the ground leading to the tiles around the pool out to the gazebo and pier. The pier looks out over the Banana River, where the flying fish jump up to kiss the Florida air. On a rare occasion there is a muddy brown green rock like figure that moves slow like molasses by the pier.
