The National Education Association provides ethical principles for all instructors to become successful educators in the Educational Field. It is very important for each instructor be to fully aware and meet the expectations to the codes of ethics. It is significant for all educators to treat each student with the same respect and value. It does not matter the child’s background, culture, nationality nor race. All children should be treated the same and given the same opportunity. “Essential to these goals is the protection of freedom to learn and to teach and the guarantee of equal educational opportunity for all” (National Education Association, 2015). Instructors must sustain the highest levels of ethical principles. The National Education Association (NEA) consists of two principles. Principle 1 “commitment to the student” and Principle 2 “commitment to the profession”. It is essential for instructors to work with each students to make them reach their potential. “The educator will therefore strive for professional growth and will seek to exercise the best professional judgment and integrity” (Code of Ethics & Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in Florida, n.d.). Keeping the respect for all students, parents and colleagues instructors will be able to “strive to achieve and sustain the highest degree of ethical conduct.” According to the Florida Department of Education, any child abuse, any sale or possession of any substance, or any violation should be reported to administration. Educators should follow the principles of the code of ethics. Educators will be suspended if violating any of these principles.
