On 06-05-2016 at 1143 hours I was dispatched to 2525 Barron Road in reference to a subject in the road yelling. Upon my arrival in the area I located Danny Wilson in the back yard of 2525 Barron Road spraying himself with a water hose. Wilson was acting irate and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. Wilson was asked multiple times what kind of drugs he had used and he advised marijuana and methamphetamine. Wilson was complaining it was extremely hot and was spraying himself with water and was advising people where chading him.
Whether if you like historical fiction or not, this is a total masterpiece that you shouldn't miss. This, is Prisoner B-3087 by Alan Gratz. It took place between the darkest years of Europe - 1933 to 1945. Starting the late 1930s’, the Nazi Party led by Adolf Hitler seized neighbouring countries such as Austria and Poland. It triggered the World War II, but there were hardly any Jews left in Europe after this terrible war.
My sophomore year in high school, I was nominated to be inducted into the National Honor Society. It was an honor to be chosen, seeing that the teachers had to nominate you. Now all I had to do was be accepted. Induction into the National Honor Society required an essay telling about yourself and why you should be chosen. I didn’t think I was very good at telling “why” I should be chosen.
Upon arriving to Miami Dade College, you will never imagine all the resources offered to students to succeed during their scholastic years. I’ve been lucky enough to been advised by some of the best staff at their Interamerican campus. From their advisement office to their profoundly knowledgeable professors. As a current student of ENC1102, we were required to attend one section with a tutor at the writing center. I always thought I had sufficient knowledge of the English language and taking time out of my busy schedule to attend a section with a tutor was absurd.
National Honors Society Essay I am very grateful for this opportunity to apply and potentially be a part of the National Honors Society. I strongly believe that I improved throughout my years at Watertown High School. I have grown into someone who cares more about the community, peers, and academic success and progress. Being involved in a variety of clubs and participating in many events for my community opened my eyes and directed me to gain qualities of service, leadership, and character. For many reasons, there’s been a position where I needed to participate in community service.
When I was was younger, I was a caterpillar crawling around trying to get through life, waiting to turn into the beautiful butterfly I know I could soon become. I made good decisions along with bad ones, saw the beauty in life as well as the unpleasant. I was like everyone else trying to be their own person, but now as I look at myself in the mirror I can finally see who I really am. I see myself as the beautiful butterfly I once dreamed of becoming, ready to fly down my own path. I have been in my chrysalis and I am finally out and ready to fly into my bright future.
I first started thinking about college seriously two years ago. Last year was when I first heard about your college, Dallas Baptist University. It sounded too good to be true. A college close to my home, I could drive home every other weekend. You have good programs and degrees based off of my career interests.

When I started high school, the club that excited me the most, was National Honors Society. So, at the first chance I got, in my sophomore year. After being a member for a year, I quickly realized that I wanted to take on a leadership opportunity in the club. So, I took a shot for the stars, and campaigned for being president of Honors Society. Though I had some competition, I put my all into composing a speech, and I won the presidency, and I have been president since.
Awe, the fresh wind blowing in my hair a beautiful view of a Nice calm pond and the sound of angels coming from a coming from a Distance. This is my perfect little spot at Miami Dade College. In my little Spot I do my homework or wait for my next class. Its the best place on the whole campus to be. Breath in and smell the fresh air.
In my freshman year, I made a choice to relinquish some of my social life and replace that time giving back to my community. I joined a non-profit organization called the Volunteer Corp. We spent our time at food banks, park clean-ups, and even hosting local events. This experience left a lasting impression on me in many ways; however, one experience changed my perspective on life and serve as a constant reminder of how the smallest contribution to others can be the most powerful. St. Joseph University, in Philadelphia, held an event called Hand in Hand. It was an event dedicated to raising awareness for people with physical and/or developmental disabilities.
I feel that my unique experiences would greatly contribute to the diversity at Rosalind Franklin University. For example, volunteering with Gentiva Hospice and spending time with patients who had minimal days left to live, and meeting a young woman at Friedman Place who has faced a many hurdles in her life, but taught me the importance of always remaining optimistic. Most significantly, while in 2nd grade, I traveled to Russia with my parents to adopt my sister. We stayed in a small town for two months, allowing my parents and I to spend countless hours at the orphanage. I noticed that the happiest moment of these kids’ day was receiving a piece of fruit, and how their wrists were strapped to their beds at night.
Accessories: More often than not, they can either make or break an outfit. Some trendy accessories overstay their welcome (I'm looking at you Emoji print backpacks) while others could use more time in the spotlight. Here are six accent pieces that dersrve more love and attention in the upcoming year. Spunky backpacks reigned supreme in the 90s/ early 2000s. Clock embedded backpacks ruled schools across the country during this time but have since seemed to disappear.
I can contribute my hard work to the Honors College community. I think that I am hardworking and I love to work with others to help solve problems because two heads are always better than one. I would contribute my ideas to the lessons and help others when they need it. I love to be able to work with other people outside my comfort zone and be able to hear their ideas and combine ideas to come up with something that will benefit everyone in the community.
I can vividly remember the advice given to me by my high school counselor. I was broken down, whispering to myself that I was not college bound. It was my counselor who made me realize that persistence was a key factor to continuing my education. The wisdom that was shared to me that day was instilled into my mind and was endorsed in my heart. I want to be the person that gives a glimpse of hope to students that need an extra push through education, just like it was given to me.
