It has never crossed my mind to stop studying any time soon. To stay in school, it’s more like a part of me since I’ve been doing it for so long. College though, it’s something more than just school. To be a college student is my ticket to success, my family’s treasure and my future family’s happiness. I am attending college in order to have a brighter future. It will also make it easy to travel and help my family in every single possible way. I believe there is nothing more powerful than the power of knowledge. The hardest part for students is when they graduate and start hunting for jobs. Many get their dream job but others don’t, after several years of study. To begin with, a college degree won’t only present me with a good paying job, but it will also open many doors. For example, in my case there are a large amount of fields in the art major. I believe only my mom has attended college and university, but since we came to this country she hasn’t been able to get a job according to her degree. She has sadly earned $13,000 a year, doing stuff that deteriorate her health and also activities that are not recommended for her age. She doesn’t speak English, that’s why she is there. But besides her I’m the only one who is attending college. Therefore, through me, a new college tradition will start to grow. My parents know that if I stay in school I will live the life they haven’t been able to provide for me, my sister or themselves. I will supply my kids those toys that my parents never gave me because they couldn’t afford it. Poverty is a truly depressing lifestyle and I have seen enough of them working tough for nothing. I want to help them, I desire to buy my parents a luxury house and take them to places.
