My one achievement of many in life is to pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. However, now that I have heard the voicethreads from Psychology 101 online course, I’m considering a Doctorate degree, as you can see the benefits of it, due to the fact that you gain more experience in research, which is what catches my eye, the research in psychology. Finding about new material is interesting to me since I learn more and I can always use that research to future research investigations if I ever would like to go towards that field. Another psychology field that grabbed my attention is Biological psychology because biology is such a fundamental learning to understand the human body and to why it functions that way. One of my favorite book that I read in elementary and never forget about was “Kissing Doorknobs” by Terry Spencer Hesser. The book was about a young girl who didn’t know what was going on because she was having a “weird behavior”. At the beginning of the fall season, I did horribly, because I was under a lot of stress and that happen when I moved jobs because paying my bills was becoming hard to do so and I have a family to help out, so it began to affect my academics since I worried and it cause lack of sleep and I didn’t have enough time to study since I was doing close to full-time at work. What help me out is I decided that I need to take action. I start my own study guides two weeks before exams, I study mornings as soon I wake up or before heading to bed so I can memorize my notes, I try to do assignments and the studying at least 3-4 hrs a day (of course with one rest day since I need to not be so hard on myself). What got me here and what I believe will get me to a successful future is knowing that my mother waits to see me achieve a good educational degree, and since I’m a first generation college student, I hope to break the chain and make my mother
