The importance of education is on the rise as we progress through the 21st century, through this progression it has been made clear to my family and I; that if I do not go to college or some kind of post-secondary education; life will become very difficult to enjoy. After this realization I as a high school student have decided to do whatever it takes in order to reach my career goals. My plans for after high school are extravagant and frightening at the same time. The most promising way to follow through with this plan is to receive as much scholarship money possible. After seeing an older sibling attempt to receive scholarships I was weary. But now that I am aware of how important education is, I knew I must put in the effort and time that it takes to be deserving of scholarship money. First, I must say this. To be straightforward my goals are to attend a college or university in northern Colorado. Once enrolled, I would enjoy majoring in biology in order to enter pre med. Enrolling in pre med will enable me to earn a masters degree in dentistry. I would also enjoy minoring in Spanish. Having the ability to converse with others that don’t possess the ability to speak English would be outstanding. While I am enrolled in school; I am going to need to work in order to provide for myself. A temporary job that also applies to what I’m learning is an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic. Accomplishing these goals would not only set myself up for success, but my family and community as well. Some examples of me planning to help my community are; speaking another language that 421,670 or 10% of people that speaks Spanish in the state of Colorado (according to the census scope). Another example is; if an emergency were to occur I would have the experience as a medical professional to help that family member and or community
