Let me state at the outset that the unique interdisciplinary educational experience that University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton school offers to its students fit perfectly with plans that I have envisioned for my undergraduate education. Penn offers the singular opportunity to pursue a broad academic curriculum and to benefit from the many experiences and perspectives of students from around the globe who live and learn in the culturally diverse city of Philadelphia.
Ever since I was a little kid I have enjoyed working with numbers, which has led me to explore deeper into the mysteries of mathematics. As the years have progressed I have continued to broaden my horizons by engaging in hands on research opportunities outside of the classroom, to understand the process of scientific discovery. However, my fascination with numbers persisted, and has developed into major interests in areas of economics and business management. Because of my broad interests, the one-university system of Penn would be an ideal place for me to pursue my business studies. I would work towards my B.S. in Economics through Wharton School while taking courses in mathematics and science at the college. The flexibility to combine Wharton business education with liberal arts studies is extremely important to create a well-rounded curriculum that will equip me with the necessary skills to be competitive and contribute
