I am hoping that this will broaden my experiences and open up lots of opportunities to grow. When I have completed my education, my goal is to return to a rural area in Iowa bringing home all of the things I have learned in my academic career and get an occupation as a social media specialist at an ag company.
When a picture is really looked at, there can be so many thoughts and questions flowing through one’s mind. This still animation, from an unknown author, is that of a simple situation but everything can be analyzed to create a better image of that painting. This picture can incite a storm is coming, a feeling of relaxation, there is proof of what time of year and day it is, and there are some clues to the women’s personality. During my job shadow with Ms. Eileen Chalupa on Doane’s Campus I learned how to be creative, come up with my own style of graphic designing, and most importantly to never give up or lose hope on a project that someone has asked for. Her job is the head graphic designer at Doane University. Some questions that I asked her during the job shadow were what are some positive aspects and negative aspects of working as a graphic designer, are the hours flexible for the job and another question I asked was what training did she do to get ready for this type of work and if it required any type of education to complete. The largest factor in deciding on a career path is how much satisfaction and enjoyment I would find in my daily work. By studying information on the Bureau of Labor Statistics website, I found that I would enjoy seven of the nine tasks routinely performed by art directors. The duties I would enjoy in this career fall in two categories: working with art or working with people. While working with art, I would determine how to visually represent ideas and concepts, decide which design elements to use in the representation, and develop the overall look of publications and video entertainment sets. As a part of working with people, I would lead the design staff, discuss design and style with clients, and coordinate activities between departments.

I’m Brittany, Britt, B, whatever you feel! Originally from Jacksonville, FL but now living in beautiful Savannah, GA where I’m currently completing this course. Something interesting about me might be that I grew up in the same house for nearly 21 years (I’m only 24) so living away from home and in a town as cool and eclectic as Savannah, GA is a nice change!

Descriptive Essay I have never thought that drawing would help me out in life until I tried it. The interest started when I was in second grade when I saw one of my best friends drawing.
