The big question being asked in today's society is, is going to college really worth the cost? students pay student loans for years after they graduate, while it is also takes a long time to pay these loans back. and society today colleges are not benefiting students on much as they use to every single person is different and people who don't go to college also make a large sum of money that is why college is not worth the cost. people in the 21st century think that in order to be successful one should spend thousands on a college degree and spend four to eight more years in school. For example in the article it states “Construction workers, police officers, plumbers, retail salespeople and secretaries, among others make significantly more with a degree than without one. why? education helps people do higher skilled work, get jobs with better paying companies and open their own business” (Source, D). Since many people believe that getting a degree helps you make more money, here is an example to refute that piece of evidence. in the document it states “The kid who apprenticed to be a plumber or an electrician is looked at as something less. even if he has no debt! even if he makes six figures a year!” (Source, E). This already shows that not spending all your money and paying debt for years is unethical. proving that people who don't attend college can be just as successful or even more successful and people with these fancy degrees. overall this evidence disproves that you need a college degree to be successful and proves that college is not worth the
