Commentary On The Movie 'Meet The Robinsons'

When I was little I was absolutely obsessed with this Disney movie called “Meet the Robinsons”. The movie is about this thirteen year old inventor who time travels to the future to stop the antagonist, The Bowler Hat Guy, who stole his invention to change the future and to seek revenge. There was this quote that was engraved in my head from the movie. “Keep moving forward”- Walt Disney. I was always thinking, what does it mean? Over time I lost the quote until this was assigned. Then I finally understood. My mom, Jessica Russell, has shown me what strength, love, and persistence really means. My mother has shown me strength. When she was young, her older sisters (my aunts) used to bully her. When she was little she was fed-up with them; she would never get the TV when it was time for her show, she would never get the bathroom first, and she never got a say in their decisions. Years later her parents got divorced and it was hard on her. But she pulled through. The most strength that she shown me is having me and my siblings. Raising three kids is hard but she has done it really well. She makes us do chores that we dread, but it teaches us that you have to work to get what you want out of life like she has. She cares about my whole family. She feeds us, asks us about our day, and is just always there for us. She is always overboard with the traditions that we do. One day I remember coming home from my grandma’s house. I walk in the door and suddenly I’m walking in a winter wonderland. We were definitely ready for old Saint Nick. But most of all she is always there for me. If I make a bad choice or I mess up really bad, she is always there to comfort and tell me that everything is going to be okay.
