Introduction The movie When Harry Met Sally is a good example of communication in relationships. It follows the relationship of Harry and Sally as they get to know each other and eventually fall in love. The movie displays a wide range of communication principles including: Type of friendship and communication, cross sex friendships, romantic turning points, and repairing damaged relationships. These communication principles are used to show the progression of Harry and Sally’s relationship.
This novel lets us know how to work with difficult people in the business world and help us future politicians, scientists, engineers, etc prepare for the many challenges coming our way. Heinrichs simply communicates how by having great communication skills can help you get a job in the real world. He divides the book into 6 sections (introduction, offense, defense, advanced offense, advanced agreement and appendices) to break down the different tools he uses throughout the book. One of them is ethos, pathos, and logos. Ethos, logos and pathos are one of the most used tool in this book and in everyday life.
Effective communication is the ability to communicate in a way that is quickly and easily understood. Whether itâ€TMs communicating with a child, young person or adult, effective communication is a starting point for any relationship; no relationship can adequately start without verbal communication. In order to effectively communicate, one must; speak with an appropriate tone (situation dependent); use correct body language; hold eye contact to show theyâ€TMre fully concentrating. It is also important to listen and respond appropriately. Plus, the style in which we communicate must be adjusted accordingly depending on who we are speaking to.
Effective communication is key in everything I do. I work as a team leader (manager) at Target, so knowing how and when to deliver a message and in what way is critical in running an effective and strong business. More importantly, being able to develop a strong team that can do the same is key to making my job easier. Being that I work in a consumer-centric business, I have to know and be able to adapt my communication strategy to both my team and our guests and ensure that, when necessary, secure information remains confidential. I hope to advance my communication skills by taking this class so I can become a stronger communicator.

Repetition was used in both speeches and the reason it was used was to let the people and the readers know what their key point was and their purpose for writing the speech. “In the i have dream speech” king repetition was “i have dream a today! During this semester, I gained a lot of skills and knowledge about interpersonal relations. As a human being, as a member of the "global village", everyone need to communicate with others. It is important to learn how to communicate well and how to build a healthy and positive interpersonal relationship with others. Like the textbook’ name “Looking Out Looking In”, we looked in the communication itself, looked out the language barrier, nonverbal messages and effective listening, and looked at relational dynamics. I learned and recognized about how environmental factors can impact our communication.

There are many different forms of communication these include visual, verbal and non-verbal. It is important that people take a look at their own communication skills and how these can be improved. Communication allows us to see things from another point of view; therefore one can get rid of any personal biases. Listening is a gift that should be appreciated, it lets people know what is going on around them in their society, such as people’s problems and struggles. Communication is such a key part of life that I often tell to a person that “Its no use of someone if he/she really don’t know by associates people in their work place or area of field”. Communication makes us to be known of others, good or bad that depends on usability of a person communication. And, it is up to each of us to learn to communicate well with those who are important to us.
In society today, communication classes are highly over looked because of our new developing technology. People don’t realize how much a communication class could benefit them. We have lost sight of verbal communication skills. This class has taught me to put my phone down and communicate with others. It has opened my eyes to the real world without technology.
