The ever growing need for good communication skills in English has created a huge demand for English teaching around the world, as millions of people today want to improve their command of English or ensure that their children achieve a good command of English... Learners learn how to read by doing a great deal of reading and learn to write by doing much writing. Therefore we can say that by the time a learner reaches the university level he or she must have been equipped with this foundation offered during the school years. The lack of receptive and productive language skills can be due to poor foundation of language teaching in schools.
