Communism has been around for a long time the earliest known type of communism could be seen in the 4th century. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels originally used the word in the 19th century. They met after Marx had moved to Paris. They decided on the same ideas. Like being disgusted by the division of classes in their economy. Also, how the workers were not treated as equally as people higher in society. Because of the poverty and disease this caused they told people that the if you switch capitalism with communism you would be able to get rid of this problem. They wrote a book together that showed their brief view of what they thought the future would have looked like. Marx thought that capitalism would have led to revolutions and depressions.
