A good President has a strong vision, and the courage and confidence to make change happen. Other desired qualities include strong communication and people skills, character and integrity, transparency, crisis management, and political skills. There have been many wonderful Presidents of the United States, some who have made positive changes, propelling our country in the right direction, and others who have sent our country drifting in a ship toward regression. I personally would argue that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, both Democrats, were the top two Presidents since World War II. This perhaps because I’ve lived through both their presidencies, and walked the American path under their power and direction, and because both had qualities needed to be a great President, and leader. This United States labor law required that employers provide their employees with unpaid leave and job protection for certain medical and social reasons including pregnancy, family illness, or military leave. This afforded many Americans to have the peace of mind that their job would be protected if certain life events called for them to be at home. This certainly was the direction America needed, and only cemented my love for Clinton’s passion for America. Barack Obama was like Clinton in his vision for America. He was the first African American President of the United States, and served as the 44th President from 2008-2017. His strong regard for family values, education, and hard work, and his conviction and zest for life, are some of the reasons I would argue him to be one of the best Presidents since World War II.
