This meant that he could command how he saw fit, and his ideas would not be shot down. This would mean that he would take the glory for each victory, but this also meant that he would take the blame for their defeats. Clinton had many campaigns that failed because of weather conditions causing reinforcements to not arrive when they were needed (Henry Clinton). He also didn’t get very much support from England. The king did not believe that the war could be won, and sent very few troops and supplies to the British troops in the Americas.
Throughout history there has been many great presidents, two of those being George Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt. During each of their presidencies they accomplish many great feats that help shape our great country to what it is today. Each of these presidents has their similarities and differences in office with some of those being domestic and foreign affairs and the extent in which the administration resolves it. Washington was the first president of our country and did not affiliate with a party. He served two four year terms.
There have been only two presidents throughout American History that have been impeached. These two presidents were William (Bill) Clinton and Andrew Johnson. Andrew Johnson was the vice president and shortly became the 17th president in 1865 after the assassination of Lincoln. Bill Clinton was elected the 42nd president in 1992, after being the governor of Arkansas. Both of these impeachments were different in several ways.
This part of Clinton's life was the most different to that of Nixon’s as Clinton was able to attend large respected college. While at Yale, Bill Clinton met his wife Hillary Rodham. Bill Clinton then went on to become the youngest governor of Arkansas. During his term as governor, Clinton improved the highway system and faced a cuban refugee crisis within Arkansas. Similarly to Richard Nixon Clinton also was faced with scandals that jeopardized his career.
FDR Vs. LBJ Because of their position in the government, Americans have such high standards for presidents. However, a lot of the time presidents are criticized more for their mistakes rather than their accomplishments. As Michael Siegel shows in his book President as Leader “presidential leadership is exercised by real, flawed human beings, and not by superheroes or philosopher-kings beyond the reach of scrutiny or critique.”
During that time he was the youngest president to be nominated. He had a very clear agenda while in the White House and
Why did the Democrats win the presidency in 1992? Even though President Bush had a very high approval rating after the Gulf War in 1991 and the fact that he had won the Cold War he lost the Presidency to Bill Clinton a Democrat in 1992. President Bush’s economy has started to slip in to a recession shortly after the war. Bill Clinton was able to combine social liberalism such as supporting “abortion rights, gay rights and affirmative Action”, with elements of conservatism, pledging to reduce government bureaucracy and “promising to end welfare as we know it”. Clinton was a good speaker and seemed concerned with the economic issues of the voters.
It is true that maybe he could have gone about “purging corruption” in the White House in a way that seemed less like nepotism however he did show himself in this instance to be a president of the common people as did the democrats as a
As the president of United States of America it can be a little hard to make certain decisions. What the people want and what is for the best for them is very different. Yet this President is for. Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton were presidents of the United States, who may have done good or bad throughout their time serving in office. Both presidents will be compared to determine who brought the best for United States.
There were so many lies and fake information about Hilary, to the extent that electorates were confused on who or what to believe, while Hilary major propagandas was public speaking and new media like Hoover’s election campaign, though Hilary made use of all modern technique unlike Hoover’s
On January 21st, 2001 George W. Bush was elected the 43rd president of the United States. His election in 2000 was known as one of the closest and most controversial elections in American history. Bush has represented political courage in many different ways and he lead our country in the right directions. Before he was the leader of our country; he was the governor of Texas.
The first president I am going to be talking about is Democrat President Bill Clinton. He was the Governor of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981, and then again in 1983 to 1992. He then later became the President on January 20, 1993 - January 20, 2001. He made good decisions and in the White House, but he also made bad ones.
The scandals involving the Clinton presidency left a mark on the nation, taking the spotlight away from important issues and focusing on Clinton himself. Clinton staying in office did more harm than
A good President has a strong vision, and the courage and confidence to make change happen. Other desired qualities include strong communication and people skills, character and integrity, transparency, crisis management, and political skills. There have been many wonderful Presidents of the United States, some who have made positive changes, propelling our country in the right direction, and others who have sent our country drifting in a ship toward regression. I personally would argue that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, both Democrats, were the top two Presidents since World War II. This perhaps because I’ve lived through both their presidencies, and walked the American path under their power and direction, and because both had qualities needed to be a great President, and leader.
Many people don’t trust driverless cars for many reasons but the ones that stood out to me the most were on how driverless cars can decrease the amount of job opportunities and how can driverless cars communicate if they’re from different companies. For example, one source listed all the transportation services that can be replaced and greatly affected by driverless cars (Lessmand and Lewis 1). But it’s still not a good reason on why you shouldn 't use driverless cars. Driverless cars do more than replace they save. They save lots of lives and prevent many traffic fatalities.
