It narrates a fictional story of a man named Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future in order to convince him to change his poor outlook on life and his greed. The themes of A Christmas Carol overlap with Gospel teachings, such as the dangers of greed and how the poor should be treated with generosity. The theme of greed is represented in A Christmas Carol through the main character, Scrooge.

I believe that the movie A Christmas Carol is better than the written version. Neither one is ungood, but the movie seems to exceed the book. Granted it does not explain as much in the early parts. They both are about the same man, Ebernezer Scrooge. Scrooge is shown as about the same in both.

You may often come across the Christmas Carol story in many different forms but the play and movie are the most common. Say for example, the play written by Charles Dickens. This play takes place in various places in the city of London. The Christmas Carol play comes to life on Christmas Eve in the winter of 1843.(Dickens, 1) Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character who has absolutely no respect for Christmas at all. Matter of fact, he despises this merry holiday which is called to be the conflict of the play but Bob Cratchit, who works for him, is just filled with the thought of it.
Scrooge in "The Christmas Carol" shows how much he hates Christmas, and everyone he works with to change to a happy person with the help of others. Scrooge emphasizes, "What a fine day fellow... An Intelligent boy, a remarkable boy. " This is a critical part of this novel because this shows Scrooge overcame his dislike of Christmas and his entire disliking of people. Instead of rudely gesturing to people, he is now starting to act nicer, and more mature.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas The Grinch who stole Christmas is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books and one of my favorite Christmas movies. I found 3 things similar to one another in the book and the movie which had the Grinch who hated Christmas, the Who’s who loved Christmas, and the Grinch stole all of the presents and food. One identical thing I found in the movie and book was that the Grinch hated Christmas. If they didn’t put the Grinch’s hate for Christmas in both the book and, he would have no reason to steal Christmas and it wouldn’t have been a very good movie.

A Christmas Carol is about an antagonist name Ebenezer Scrooge. The reason he is the antagonist is because he basically is a very selfish man. Whenever there are poor families without money for Christmas, he does not do anything to help them, and does not even care. Greediness is probably the most noticeable flaw, money is all he ever thinks about. Whenever there is a happy or joyful person at Christmas time, he does not want to share in the happiness.
