Fall Out Boy vs Panic! At The Disco

The great philosopher Plato once said; “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” There are many other people who had been given “charm and gaiety” to their lives by music, so much so that they started making their own. Two bands in particular who have given myself “charm and gaiety” are Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco. These two bands are usually put so closely together on the shelf, and I'm here to tell you why they should be, and why they shouldn’t.

At The Disco. Panic! At The Disco is also an alternative rock band that was created in 2004 in Las Vegas. The band originally had four members: Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, and Brent Wilson. Now, here’s where it gets funky. Brent Wilson got kicked out of the band in 2006 to be replaced with Jon Walker. Then, in 2009 Jon Walker and Ryan Ross split from the band. Panic! Hired two touring members to replace them for concerts; Dallon Weekes and Ian Crawford. In 2012, Ian left the band, in 2013 Spencer left the band, and finally, in 2018, Dallon Weekes left the bands touring line up. Now Panic! consists of Brendon Urie as the only official member, and Kenneth Harris and Dan Pawlovich as the bands touring members. In spite of the band’s tragic amount of loss, Panic! At The Disco has still been able to come out with 5 albums, and while 2 have been certified platinum, the other three have only been certified silver and gold. The band started off really strong, with its first album A Fever You Cant Sweat Out in 2005 being the bands largest and fastest selling album with 2 million copies sold worldwide! Panic! At The Disco has earned 7 awards out of 26 nominations over the years. Although the band has had a rollercoaster of success, they have made many great achievements in their career, such as: Having their first single being #7 on the Billboard charts, their most recent album being their first #1 album on the Billboard charts, the band played at the
