The Beastie Boys. Need I say more? When most think of the rambunctious rap group from that came straight out of the 1980’s, they think about girls, partying, crude humor and maybe some music in between. Thoreau’s purpose is to live a simple life. He doesn't want to live the fast life, he wants to see every detail there is and obtain everything life offers. Thoreau wanted to die knowing he lived what life was meant to be. “I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” This is an antithesis because Thoreau supports his decision on going into to the woods by saying if he didn't, he would regret it.

The Band That Never Died From the very start of the irish band, U2 was destined to be revolutionary. U2 was different from most bands because they didn’t give into the sex, drugs, and alcohol trends that were prominent in the 1980’s rock decade. Instead, U2 revolutionized the world and Rock N’ Roll genre through major societal impacts such as their music, live aid events, and political influence. After U2’s first two albums reached number one on the charts, they were able to control what they put out into the public versus what record labels advised them to do. Linkin park is my favorite rock band. I like them because of their different styles in music.
