RPG and RPG Maker
By the definition of WhatIs.com, a role-playing game (RPG) is a game in which each participant assumes the role of a character, generally in a fantasy or science fiction setting, that can interact within the game 's imaginary world. The general idea of an RPG game is that the player will start of as a beginner of adventure and eventually become the hero of the imaginary world by battling with monsters and traveling the world. Some popular examples of RPG games are Final Fantasy, the Legend of Zelda and World of Warcraft, which is an online multiplayer RPG game.
RPG Maker, easy to tell by its name, is a easy engine that can help gamers to create their own RPG games. It contains many pre-defined map tiles and character/monster setting that can save people who have a very hard time of drawing a great deal of work. It also contains many customized features that people can choose. Below is a screen shot of the RPG Maker UI(User Interface). In my RIP project, most of the brackets and parenthesis that movie scripts had been using to represent settings are now representing these features, which will look very disturbing if the reader had never seen such engine. That also comes back to my argument of my audiences to be people who understand games because only people who play games will understand the meaning behind these brackets.And by showing the actual game engine, the reader will also have a better view of how these settings will be implemented into a
