Advances in different areas such a medicine, technology and spread of democracy to other countries. * Reagan 's view of history was the resurgence of national pride or “new patriotism”. We have learned and understood patriotism from previous generations, it is important not to forget what was done in the past so that we have a clear understanding of who we are. If future generations are not taught American history, the spirit of America could be lost. Clinton’s view of history is America is open minded to change and leading the way in advancements. The future is the application of freedom with wisdom to establish peace for the good of future generations.
