At the workplace, communication is a very important tool that people use to translate meaning and understanding to one another. The life that each person lives and the world that we are living in are both shaped by communication, which makes up the reality of our lives. The two models that best explain the communication process model are the rhetoric and phenomenology models. The rhetoric model consists of logic: logos, culture: ethos, and feelings: pathos. The phenomenology model consists of decision: epistemic, reaction: reality, and wants/needs: ontology. The difference between communication as a practice in the firm and communication as a constitutive of the firm is that in the firm, communication is determined by the structure of the organization.
