Throughout human history a plethora of religions and belief systems have emanated across the translucent barrier of time. A few religions or belief systems that share instant recognition within contemporary societies include Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Taoism. Each aforementioned religion or belief system alone holds immense and intricate details beyond complete comprehension. To simplify such a complex slew of interrelated ideals, this comparison will sight the relationship between Buddhism and Judaism.
As an aspiring physician, I believe that ILS will prepare me for success both inside and outside of the classroom. Through the connections, opportunities, and support I will receive in the ILS program, I know that I will best be prepared to apply to medical school. I value mentorship and am excited to have access to faculty mentors to guide me in my progress. The close community between peers and professors intrigues me to join this community and learn from a like-minded community. I am specifically excited to take new courses such as HLSC208, to learn about connections between molecular biology and computer programming.
These are five practices that Muslims are obligated to do to assist them in practicing what they preach and putting their words and beliefs into action. The first pillar of Islam is the Declaration of Faith (Shahadah), that is reciting the words "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger,” which then leads one to enter the Islamic faith. The second pillar of Islam is Prayer (Salah), Muslims are obligated to pray five times a day, they must bath before prayer and be facing in the direction of Mecca. The next pillar of Islam is giving to charity (Zakat), every Muslim is required to give a percentage of their earnings to those without the fortunes and luxuries that we have. The fourth pillar of faith is Fasting (Saum), Muslims have a set month in which they fast (Ramadan).

The seven fundamentals of Islam are; belief in God, belief in the angels, belief in the holy books, belief in the prophets of God, accepting the judgment of the last day, believing the fact that Muslims have free will of either obeying or disobeying Allah (SWT), and believing in the afterlife. In addition, Islam consists of 6 pillars of Islam, which need to be known in order to be clear on what Islam is about. Thus, the pillars of Islam are; Shahada (Accepting Islam and becoming a Muslim), Salah (Establishing roots of prayer), Zakat (paying those in need), Sawm (Ramadan/Fasting), and Hajj (Pilgrimage).
Different continents similar rituals Arabs and Europeans are differently similar. Cultures in general are different from one to another. Judaism and Islam Since Islam was founded it’s relationship has historically been tumultuous with Judaism. From the 600’s C.E., when Islam was founded, the two religions have fought and the conflict continues today. Jews of Muhammad’s time, the founder of Islam, rejected Muhammad’s claims of religious and political leadership and Muslims claimed to be God’s new chosen people, ultimately beginning this everlasting conflict. The three aspects of Islam are Tawheed Ar-Rububiyyah which means Oneness of Allah’s Lordship – Believing in Allah alone. Tawheed Al-Asmaa Wal Sifat, maintaining the attributes of Allah. Then comes the third aspect Tawheed Al-Uloohiyyah or Tawheed Al-Ibaadah meaning Oneness of worship.
